I promise you Vosh, I did not trace that. I don't know how I could prove it though. Long story short, drawing is my gift I've been drawing since I started school, my classmates are often amazed at my skillz so I guess thats the best I can do. Plus I don't know why anyone would trace something, call it their own and then send it as fan art, I don't see what fun that would be

P.S: I'm not freaking on you, just talking

Hey where my post go about falling unconcious and dying from lazyness?!?

You should colour with watercolours or something, pencils are only good if you build up the layers uber slowly and constant so its a perfect fill. Water colours will also help define the characters shapes a bit better.

No not really reno,

I kind of have a problem with making up characters (?especuly? cartoon) and leting anyone see it. I feel like they might make fun of my ideas. Which is to bad since I'd like to show people. But there are eceptions like showing then over the net or if I really know the person I'm showing it to. Do others ever feel like that?

Might I remind you of my drawings

People said their shoulders were long, and shouldnt end below their ties.

I said "They are sticks, thats how I draw them."

Dont change your style because someone bitches .

Very motovating Vash nice advise. When I draw the most is when I'm (cirently ?absessed?) with a movie or show, they change regularly. My current one is, you guessed it Invader Zim. I like the chalange of learning how to work with the style and mastering it. But that adds to the problem becouse even if they like the art they might hate the show and dis me about it insted..what ever. [addsig]

doesnt matter what other people think tbh, I dont like to show anybody else my work either. I wont let my family look at any of my art ive done in the past, im sure its perfectly natural.

There will always be someone who doesnt like what you do, in my case it was my art teacher who wanted to do nothing mroe than tell me im s**t, in those exact words.

...not if you use GOOD color pencils. *cough*expensive-prisma-pack-to-the-left*cough*

Watercoloring takes way too much effort to look nice, especially when you don't know how to use them.

However, there are some very nice pens out there too (not really recommended.

But something I do recommend is a light table, and to learn the ability to ink. Inking (I'm talking bottled ink and metal pens, I forget what their name is, and no it isn't a fountain pen) and shadows have dramatic effects on drawings .

And yes a light table is used for tracing (you can use a window too, but that only works in the day ... or in the OTHER 6 months in Alaska), But you use it because when you draw something it generally isn't the cleanest piece of work in the world. then you trace it over (the areas you want) and ink that, and go from there.

Also, Korn, I know what you mean ... I had a bitch for an art teacher. To her, comic book style art meant nothing, but abstract art (her idea of it being a blue square) was something magical and thoughtfulfilling ... that bitch. lol, anyway. [addsig]

Thanks all for the support. Now here's a oppertunity for you. Though I might need some practice, I got a idea.. no, to do characters for people on the site what I mean is that the first flew people (mybe 5) can send me a PM of what their personality is like (it would also help if you've uploaded your pic to the site also) And I could draw what you might look like as an Irken soldier or invader based on that information. sound cool then PM me remimber only 5 spots are avalible I can send the pic to you through e-mail (please provide in PM) then mybe you can display it in this form or use it as a avitor what ever

i was always the exact opposite, my feelings are, there is no bad art, just many levels of good.

drawing and such is a personal thing, and if someone does their best, it cannot be wrong.

people stress way to much on this "approval" thing

anywho's thats my take

Then surely there is no rating artwork? This is why I think art GCSEs and A levels are wrong, how can art be graded?

as for the world? i don't know or care, but for snarkpit members, i guess we could rate themselves against themselves, to see if each posting is better than the last. it seems a bit unfair to rate us against each other IMO

Well thats why we rate stuff with personal interests in mind. However most people have a common liking of art in the sense of good and bad... so when someone rates something it is likely that alot of people will agree, but not everyone. [addsig]
