That is some improvement! You seem to have gone from some noise claiming to be metal, to some pretty impressive stuff. The stone walls are the best looking ones in my opinion, nice work there.
BTW - NEVER again will you post bitmaps.
Never....
[addsig]Fixed bmps to jpgs 500k now.. ![]()
Reno: The walls look the best because I made them with a tutorial.. but I didn't follow everything I sort of did what i wanted where I wanted ![]()

They are good texture except for the 2nd one. It looks like the fuzz on your T.V. when the cable goes out. Maybe if you tweak it some you could turn it into an animating texture just for that purpose.

It's the first attempt ![]()

Nice work although there is quite a bit of contrast around those cracks. Did you use an alpha channel to create the roughness in the surfaces? Thats one technique you can use in photoshop although you are using PS correct?
(looks around a second...... vanishes back into the fog
)

Did you learn how to use layers properly or something as "big" as that? I must get back to my texture studies...
*jumps bag into the pool of mud he came in from the first place*

OtZman: Thankyou. ![]()
Cassius: I highly doubt that I'm better than half the texture artists in the universe, and thankyou. ![]()
Grimlock: I did not use an alpha channel to create the roughness on the surfaces I did this. Created this
used the "Quick Texture Mixer < a little tool in the program" with this
and should have something like this
.
Pvt.Scythe: I did not learn how to use layers or anything "big" because I don't use Photoshop. ![]()
PS: how do you get some text like this "here" to a link? thanks.

I have been actually using a program that came with my windows 2000. It's called Picture It 2001. It is like photoshop but has been dumbed down a lot and can't do nearly as much. It is usefull enough though to make textures like coke machines, glass, and signs. I use it to make simple textures then use wally to put them into a wad file. I have Jasc Photoshop but I havn't gotten around yet to learning it. Once CS:S comes out though I will start making better textures.

| Every complex photo program uses layers. Photoshop is just the the all round best (Yes, it is). GIMP is like a mixture between painter and Photoshop ... but free. Painter is for well ... painters, there are so many things you can do its mind boggling, unless of course, you know how to use the items. |
Wally counts right?
