I think I'd be more inclined to stick with deviantart, that site looks a tad unprofessional and the content I noticed put me off

Uhh, yeah, content kind of put me off as well. Seems like the site is mostly oriented towards anime or "furries" or something.

Put me off as well. I know there's an anime out there that sorta started the whole "furry thing", I suppose it gained popularity and well, here ya go!

There were a lot of unprofessional pictures but if you look farther into the archive you will find some very good peices. I didn't expect many people to like the site but I found many of the pictures very good. There is a lot of pictures in there that I can understand why you didn't like it. Deviant art is another great site. I happened find vclart online last night by accident throug a google search on art tutorials. I found some sketching tutorials though if anyone would like to see them I can post the links up.

Some of you may have heard of FARP and others may have not. It stands for Fantasy Art Resource Project. The link goes to the FARP index of drawing, painting, etc tutorials. It's the best place I have ever been to to find help and tips on improving my drawing. They have lots of tutorials on just about everything and they are very well written. This is a great resource for anybody.
