Ok I know there's a map forum...but i didn't want to waste my one map thread on a half completed map for a question about the wallpaper... lol... I'm doing a remake of the classic cs_militia, and I wanted the terrorist's house to be more upscale...not like the low level we're going to strap explosives to ourselves and run into a building terrorist's type of house, but more the drug cartel leader terrorist type of house... anyways, virtually all of source's textures are "dirty".. for example ripped, dirty wallpaper. And that wouldn't go well with the plasma tv and full bar i wanted to give the t's, so...i tried making my own and i came up with this... is it too unprofessional to have little CS figures on the paper? from a distance you don't notice anthing, of course. Just wanted some input! Thanks.

Its more the color than the figures. Red and blue dont really go well together, its a tacky combo. Use more nutral tones. Try a muddy red and a navy blue against a warm light brown background.

It would look okay if it was in a kids play room or something, but as DrGlass said, its too unsubtle a colour combo to really work as a realistic wallpaper for the given setting. To be honest though, I don't think drug baron types really go for wallpaper - if they are really up market you might wanna use paint or something?
