so i sort of wanted to make a weapon, started searching for reference
pictures and i bumped into a pretty cool 24 layer picture where you
could mix different parts of weapons, i made
this
and then i started modeling it and by now it looks like
this
i think it looks ok, still needs some more detail...and the rest of the gun.

Looks a lot like the M4 with the M203 grenade launcher, and folding stock.

Are the people using this gun possessing three arms?
It looks cool and all, but ... what would be the point of having a machine gun/crappy rifle combined with a shotgun? Fire aimless rounds at someone until you get close enough so you can dismember them? You'd have "spray" and "more spray". Unless it was an accurate shotgun, of course, but it doesn't look like it from the picture.
Oh well.

Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

It's not a shotgun, but a grenade launcher. The British SAS used
that particular gun in the first Gulf War (if I'm remembering
correctly). As far as I know the rifle grenade launcher was a
pretty effective/deadly combination. I've never used one, but I'm
assuming that it would be pretty easy to move your left hand (that you
use to steady the rifle while firing normally) down to the second
trigger when needed..

What program are you using agian? I'm tryin to do stuff with XSI,
but all the tutorials are s**tty, and I just can't get started. I
can't find a place that will tell me how to make a polygon. It's
quite frustrating.

i am using xsi, try to draw some curves and then make sure theyre
closed(by selecting the curve and and go to
Modify->Curve->open/close) and then go to
Get->Polymesh->curve to mesh, then you can play around with the
settings and xtrude edges and bevel them...thats how i made the pony,
and all the other stuff.

Looks great, but im not a fan of fantasy weapons...
Why not try a real weapon. that one seems to be a cross of a Colt and a HK weapon. With som FNC touch to it...
