Made my first real model today. Basic texture (made myself) and cheap render. It's supposed to be a bird bath.

Tell me what you think.

Seems like everyone's starting to model these days. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

Looks good, what's the poly count, which program did you use?

Nice, modeling is really fun. I'm going to say Milkshape, but that's just a guess.

Today's educational word is: Smoothing groups. You should also practice getting that into Half-Life 2 it looks like a perfect candidate for MDL Export practice.

I like the gameplay of Half-Life 1 much more than HL2.

i like everything about hl1 more, but still ,level designing etc. for half life 2 is more versatile and fun ( a tad easier to make things look good , but now everyone has that advantage you need GREAT stuff to be noticed :P)

also modeling for hl2 is nicer, but it is howeevr harder as it needs more detail and smoother motions.

Hell, is an half-filled auditorium

im into hl2 for the collisions and the prettyness

the only problem with steam updating things every week is it doesent give the developers an incentive to playtest thier work, so we do it for them
