Basically, one day I downloaded the model concept art vtm from 3dbuzz.com and became ammazed. Finnally, a video tutorial to teach me how to draw anime.

After I watched the entire couple hundred megs of videos, a lost site of drawing anything. Then one day in my college Algebra class, board from hearing the same stff over and over again, I just felt like doodling on my notbook, when suddenly one of my doodles cought my eye.

It actually looked good!! This led me to pull out a blank spiral and start sketcing. These are my good ones in the order I drew them. (+ some comments)

Left:
--My 3rd or so atempt at drawing, but my first at a space soldier style.
--Was my favorite for quit some time.
Right:
--My attempt at creating an innocent girl in the wind.
--Her cloths are still white because I couldn't think of anything that was sort
----of skin tight. (Not good at drawing cloths yet)

A failed attempt to create a girl staring into the distance as an energy builds as it surrounds her.

This one is my favorite.
The hair is my favorite part, the jagedness and simple style.
This is also my most sucessful attempt at concpt.
Feature a better uniform and facial expression of sass.

As a side note, all but the last image are 4 heads hight. The sass marine is 5Hh.

This is primarily a gallery, these works might not ever be improved on, unless I happened to redraw them later on. And its just practice concept pieces; nothing will be used in a game unless someone actually gets inspired by one of these.

Anyway, enjoy!!

You know, I've actually got nothing to say

I've never liked the Anime style. It's just so... I don't know, I just don't like it thats all.

They're good drawings nonetheless.

...exploited?

Those are pretty neat, but once you're more into drawing you really should make your own style since anime has gotten really boring lately due to over-exploitation.

Don't worry about style. Draw whatever keeps you interested, as you build your basic skills. Whatever you DO draw...ALWAYS keep a few simple goals in mind.

- Study Form and in real life and work it into whatever you draw.

- Understand the basic concepts of Line, and Value. Both of these tools are used to define drawings - give them depth and weight.

- Never think that anything is beyond you. You can make amazing progress with a dedicated practice routine. An hour a day is enough to go from so-so to great in a couple of years.

- Study other artists; understand what makes their style 'good'. Mimicking another artists in your quest for knowledge is ok - at some point you will find your style. Just push yourself to mix techniques and genres, and find something unique once you get further along.
