after its skinned completely, i think this should look damn nice...if i may though sir, imho the arch part is a little too proportionately thick for the columns and the opening width.....the skinning so far looks pretty damn nice sir.....well done....i wanna see the finished product... ![]()

Nooba: Good work - simple model but does what it needs to. The skin on the arch looks cool, but I'm not so impressed by the skin on the pillars. Maybe once it covers the whole length it will look better, but at the moment I can't help but feel it is too flat. Give it some staining or something towards the bottom maybe, and maybe some very slight baked in lighting around the corners? Keep it up anyway

One of the weapons i created for the mod Half-Life : Hostage Situation.
A FAMEA S.A.F. original weapon has a remarkeble resemblance with the H&K MP5/k. Not so strang because FAMEA(Chilean army weapons manifacturer) bought serval weapons under license from other manufacturers.

A v_model.
But the clip looks low quality because G-max has a horrible rendering.
most of the skins are 512x512, sharpend and well. BUt the only problem was that the fire chamber was one object, thus i decided to pit it into one 512x512 file. As you can understand that limits the quality of the texture.
Here is a wire, unoptimized and a old version:

Belgarion, with a good texture I think that booth'll look really nice.
Nooba, I completely agree with ReNo as I was going to say something similar. I love the way you've texture the arch, specifically the light and dark variation, but the pillars themselves are too gray and monochromatic. Like ReNo said some stains or even a dark trim along the vertical edges might look nice.
pepper, I'd seen this model somewhere before, and I really like it. Do you have any in-game shots?

Here is a little update
I've been experimenting with the pillars... If you look at the bottom you'll see what I've done to them, is that any better?

I just love the way the stone looks on the arch... great job.

Nice argh nooba, you might want to try to define the corners a little by dodging or burning with a light percentage.
@Addicted to morphine: Could be, i posted it in a few forums before.

C&C still welcome
If you'd like... I could release this, or maybe a little pack of models?

1st, I must say its wonderful Nooba.
2nd, I'd like to see what its patterned after. It appears to be combining architectures. I am not an architect, but the style seems to combine patterns somehow.
3rd, who cares. Its a great looking structure.

A model-pack would certainly be nice, with some more models in the same style or theme. What architecture style did you take for this?
