i made a refracting texture but it doesent work on my other computer that has a much less than par gfx card.

what do i put in a vmt to tell it to use an alternate texture on machines running dx6?

the only problem with steam updating things every week is it doesent give the developers an incentive to playtest thier work, so we do it for them

This is a truly original question and I honestly feel it best to be in HL2 editing.

In here, it won't show up in a search.

I have no clues for an answer. Sorry.
