Ok, heres the story.. My Wife loves Lego's, so while I slept she scanned and made a bunch of lego textures, made a wad.. found out wads dont work in source, went on-line found out how to add new textures made the vmf vmt what ever you do, and now I have a bunch of lego textures. She wants to make some Lego models.. the Trees, light post, railings and some other stuff for a Lego Castle map she wants to build.. so we need to know what we need to make models. Please list and link if you can, so I can download and try my hand at modeling.. Thanks.

Try XSI, its free and there is heaps of support for it. The link can be found in the Source SDK.

Agreed with Aaron, get xsi mod tool, download it here, then google around for tutorials and such, also, this guy has a bunch of vids about xsi, and some good introduction videos.

For Half-life 1 modeling, lots of folks use (or used to use) Milkshape, its a trial though. I used to use gmax (free), if your interested in using gmax, I can give you the import/export plugins. I also know somebody who uses 3DS Max 8 and has the import and export plugins for that, I can give you the plugins too if you like.
