The reason I put infant in was to avoid any of the sexual connotations that go with calling someone baby. Where are my brick textures anyway?

Like I said the first time he posted his work, Brasso's texturing reminds me very much of the Golgatha 'style', though they are obviously of much higher quality. [addsig]

I suggest you try to remove the jaggedy/fuzzy pieces of them as much as possible & then scale them down in photoshop (which should hopefully remove most of it)

Theyre definately fuzzy & I dont mean warm n fuzzy :S

It's exactly as I had believed. The amount, resolution, and variance of the different pictures that come together to make a complete Brasso texture make it seem like some manner of patchwork, really.

That being said, it's some pretty sexy patchwork. Doesn't look half bad to me, though the purpose of these gadgets is beyond me. Looks like the inside of a submarine.

so what yer telling me is what?....that patch work for a noob learning a skill is...unacceptable? im not sure i follow....accept for the sexy part......i still havent learned how to transfer my drawings to the pc, and manipulate them to any degree of efficency yet.... i respect your texture ability more than you know cass....if you could elaborate, id appreciate it...and if youd care to share a few trade secrets, well, that wouldnt hurt my feelings a bit man....

go figure....8 years in the submarine force....

Those latest ones are much better quality: they don't suffer from any aliasing.

Cassius has a good point - you've used a lot of separate images to make these textures. That's not necessary bad in itself, but in some places the joins are obvious and awkward. For example, the top corners of this image look like a badly cut-out part of another texture:

Also, as with the others, these textures are so detailed that they could only be used for special places in a map. If you used one of these as a main wall texture, it would hurt the eyes.

Still very pretty and reaslistic though. For these special-use textures, I think you should have the confidence to remove some of the clutter. At the moment they seem overburdened with detail.

I think the fact they have excessive details & metal shapes on them is what makes them THEM. I'd leave them that way. [addsig]

interesting comments mike....and seriously noted...detail....ive spent my whole life working my ass off to learn to pay attention to, and involve them profusely....the devil is in the details.... go figure....i dont necessarily agree 100% with the detail thing, but hey, i do appreciate the input. ALL of it... yeah, one other thing....i havent figured what the deal is yet, but they dont seem as raggety on my screen, until i look at them here...whatever that means...

korny, if you need some more posters to work on or with, gimme a holler....i have a pretty good collection ranging from propaganda, to movies, to music....

thanx guys....i appreciate the input as i said, and especially the candor ...
