I've been learning maya this weekend, and thought I'd post what I've managed so far.

Pretty good....but I recommend lighting it more clearly so that we can see all the details (like the joins). Otherwise it looks like your hiding your work behind moody lighting

Blody good, the only thing i see rong with t is maby the actuall sword (Blade) should be slightly longer. [addsig]

The odd lighting is because I don't know how to do lighting yet... that was just the default. I supose I could post another image from a different angle though. The thing I was most concerned about was the transition between the handle and the hilt seems kinda blocky. anyway, thanks for the comments guys
