I while back I made a combodust map.. it was well received by many but I lost it on a CD some place and was forced to have to start fresh. In a way that was a blessing in disguise. I think the new layout works better, but the map still needs lots of work.

I took the Terrorist start from Dust, took the CT start from Dust 2 and then combined the two maps to make Combo Dust.

I have a couple ideas for MID rout, and would like your suggestions as well. Right now there is a stair case from low mid to take you to upper mid.. but I was thinking of closing that off with a raised area and some boxes to jump up on.. or a ladder.. not sure though it works the way it is now.

Also doors need to be added to the many arched door areas. Rocks along the slanted wall, and some other details.. this is the layout only.. I have not made it pretty yet.

I will add a DL and screen shots, I hope some of you will test it out and leave comments.. I am still waiting for feed back on my other map design.

I got a LEAK in that map some place, and the point file goes though a wall and no where else. I know there is a way to discover them beside that, but I forget what it is.

Oh and I will zip up what I got right now.. if someone wants to take a look.

The point file should be sufficient man. If you're sure the leak isn't being caused by a gap in your geometry then check to see if the wall it is going through is an entity (if you haven't done that already, I'm sure you would have).

Also what's happened to me in the past is I have accidentally displaced the origin of an entity (that hollow circle thing in the 2d views that some entities have, example, trigger_multiple).

Thanks Arron. 2 buy zones, 2 bomb sites other than that simple brush work.

I'll find it.. if not I'll load up an older version and start from there.

Restart work on a map because of a leak??? That's giving up way to easy. Just use your investigationing skills and find the leak yourself. Shouldn't be hard at all.

If you give up then I'll find it for you. smiley

Ya, no kidding. The pointfile tool has worked for me 100% of the time and for everyone I know; sometimes it takes a little deciphering to figure out why it does what it does. But I swear by that tool.

I found it.. it was a very very very small 1x1 leak in a staircase I made. I fixed it. the red line was so short and small I actually saw it on the grid before the 3D view this time. I need to increase the walls in some areas, they look too low. It is just to give the idea of Dust, so please dont expect an exact copy. I am also thinking I need to add more of Dust to this and less Dust 2. next project I guess.

Now if I could just figure out this stupid 3D skybox crap.
