I just finished learning the ins and outs of creating a prop and bringing it into a Half-Life 2 game using Vista. And for a non-programmer dude that I am I found the whole process somewhat complicated.
I was wondering if this is more complicated with Ubuntu, or not?
Can someone care to share some impressions?

Thanks in advance guys,

JDL

By Vista do you mean a Windows os because I used to have XP and the process of creating/compiling a model for hl2 is the exact same on XP as it is Vista. Unless the tools involved in the process aren't compatible with Ububtu then it should be just as "complicated" as it is on Vista.

Haha if you're referring to writing the qc/vmt files I wouldn't consider that programming at all. smiley

Yeah, importing props has NOTHING to do with programming.

As for ubuntu it would be more difficult because ubuntu (natively) doesn't run windows executable files (aka: the prop compiler .exe files).
