Hey snark community, I have a pretty stupid question, namely how do I add a custom model that I've downloaded to SDK so I can use it in my CSS map? ^^" I've been googling the whole evening and couldn't find the answer. Also a second bonus question would be: does anyone know a resource website for free custom models (beside snarkpit)?

Haha, was it that bad?
Anyway, where do I have to put those model files or is there anything else I'll have to do?
Gamebanana? I didn't know they had models. But they don't seem to have the stuff I am looking for. I need desert foliage and small rocks and by the way: what's the name of the barrels used in de_dust2? I can't seem to find them in the standard model list.

If I remember correctly, the model viewer has a few sub folders named by each map too. (Like cs_office). I think de_dust(2) is in there too.
I think you have to put the models in the game's directory if I am not mistaken.
Oh and it is quite possible they don't have models like tree's or rocks. I didn't really think about that, sorry

Oh I see, perhaps they are from a different level, have you tried other map folders?
You can also just type in Barrel in the filter search bar, but I think you've already tried that?
Perhaps they are from Half-Life 2

You were right they were from Half-Life 2. Found it out by watching a really noob youtube tutorial video "how to add a barrel"
I thought HL2 models wouldnt work in CSS, but it worked. The model's name was "oildrum" btw.
