Wierd chapter name

The problem is that chapter name looks like this :

http://personal.inet.fi/koti/liuska/menu1.gif

I have tried to change the text in hl2_english.txt and titles.txt in my own mod folder, but it doesn't work. the name just points somewhere in the mod folder (the full path doesn't show). Any idea about what would be causing this?

No idea... it didn't happen with me.
Have you modified any file prior to playing HL2? Or done anything unusual?

Im busy myself with a mod and al the file that you use must start with you mod name

[modname]_engish.txt
"lang"

where [modname] = the name of your mod smiley

before you reinstall, which can take for ever with HL2's 5 cd's. verify your .gcf's

here

Is that dutch or something? If i'm not mistaken I read a pronounced JOTAI in the background instead of the HALF LIFE 2. Wierd stuff like this happens with mods. And when you load the map directly from hammer, things like this happen.
