I cant really seem to find anyway to creat light that glows. This means that the light as it hits a object glows on its path. I can get normal light but cant get it to set a glow underneith. If someone could make a tut on this or just tell me how, that would be great.

I think you need to explain a bit more. Speaking in HL1 terms, are you talking about something like a glow sprite around the light source, or are you thinking more in terms of volumetric fuc_illusionary type lighting?

I believe he either means using a light_spot entity or a glow sprite, based on his "kinda vague" description.

Glowy light like in Indiana Jones Raider's of the Lost Ark? Where he avoids the light in the beginning to not set off the trap?

point_spotlight has a nice "stream" of light that you can see. Unfortunatly it also has a very bright spot of light at the source of the light. I wish I could figure out a way to get the "stream" without the bright source.

I take it you never looked at the flags for the point_spotlight? There's an option to prevent it from emitting the ever-so-expensive dynamic light.
