I found this lil map while searching for ropes, elevators, physics... just poking around.

http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=61982&highlight=elevator

See, I can't get it to work with CS:S and was wondering if it's because CS:S has limited physics? I checked on the entities used to make it and it appeared that they should all work in CS:S but Im a newbie so I gave up after a few hours of screwing around with it.

It looks really cool in hammer... 3 ropes holding up a platform with phys_ballsocket entities, contraints, etc. I dont suppose anyone has a CS:S map that makes use of a lot of physics that I could pick apart? <grin>

Problem with CSS is that if you're in a Elevator / Standing on moving entity / physbox you character is begining to shake upsidedown and left to right, i've heard it's some problem beetwen server<->client where the player poisition should be.
So you can't make any real elevator in CSS without the horrible effect.
Blame Valve
