Me and a friend are making a great map but i say what . I need a way to control objects remoting from a button. so when u hit the foraward button the object moves forwards and so on. I have tried a few ways but it is almost impossible for the object to go strait or responed fast enough for its own good. If there is any good mappers out there that can help plz do. Watch for it when we release it .

What are you mapping for (HLDM, CS, ?) and what kind of object are you trying to get to move around?

here's how t's done in hl1, i'm prety sure it'll work in hl2 mapping too,

Make a elevator liek you would make it over 3 stories (func_trachtrain or whatever with some paths) only don't make the paths go up, but in the direction you want the thing to go.

i think that should work, exept if you want to control a boject going to random places, witch would need a complext set of triggers i think.

elevators are easy, i'm trying to get like a box to go strait or mave at my command, like remotely from a button. and this is for hl 2.

there was an airstrike thing back in hl1 i think it would work to create a remote controlled box ? "what your saying is not for the light hearted this will take some time "

i think in hl2 there is an entity of some sort that moves platforms horizontilly and vertically and the such. try searching for that because i know i read it somewhere in snarkpit.
