Does stretching the Tools Skybox Texture (for a 2D skybox) to fit your brushes help reduce lag etc?
I'm going to compile a test but I might as well ask while I'm here

I highly doubt it. I don't believe any of the texture alignment and scaling information is relevant when you are using the sky texture. My guess is that the compiler just discards it.

Yeah I believe that the skybox is the first thing that is rendereed and
anything textured sky is just sort of clear to let you see through to
it.
