Hi, Do props such as static (or any prop for that matter) cut the bsp like a non-detail brush would? Its just that ive been using statics but have just noticed a prop_detail and I'm wondering if it would be better to use that?

No only world brushes do, func_detail doesnt, nor do any entity brush

prop_details are virtually useless as you can't set any angles, just stick with prop_statics and the like.

Prop_details are only used for the grass models that are automatically placed on displacement maps. You shouldn't ever need to use one yourself.
