I have tryed to put in the npc_sscaner as seen at the begining of d3_c17_05 with no luck. I have extracted the map and looked how it was done and have recreated the exact sequance, excet it is a cscaner that drops the mines any anything I try results in errors. Im only confused because theres, work.

Sorry thought I had that in there, anyway it doesn't show up and the console says tryed to create unknown entity. that fine it shows up in the editor correctly and in valves map. I confused because the entity class they use is cscanner but the game shows the sscanner with tenicles holding the mine.

I saw this one on VERC: its hardcoded in, as they added the model after that section was done. Basicly, you make them cscanners, and any map that starts with the prefix "d3" will make them show up as shield scanners.
