I made a blue and a red texture for my map, to make the bases of the two teams. WHen someone joins my server they download the map but not the texture, and they see the infamous purple checkered thing instead of the blue/red. Is there any way to include custom textures with the download for them?

You probably just need a .res file, but you might try this program. It will include your textures with the .bsp. [addsig]

Be warned that, despite what I say in the documentation of pakrat, custom models don't seem to work when embedded into bsp files. I don't know why, and I suspect the reason is hidden somewhere inside HL2/steam where I can't get at it.

Custom textures work fine, though. Be sure to add both the .vmt and .vtf files.

I fixed the link in that post, btw. Seems to work now.

(Edit: D'oh! .vmf changed to .vmt )
