How can you make a func_rot always be facing you? Am I using the wrong entity or something?

I'm afraid your question is somewhat unclear.
what do you mean facing you?
it rotates so eventualy it will face you in the right way

Hang on, I'll explain what I'm trying to do:
I'm making a turret that shoots at you, and I've made it out of brushes. I have it all worked out, except that the turret doesn't rotate to follow you. - In other words it fires at you, when it faces away from you. It doesn't revolve / rotate so that it is always aiming at you

I want to do this aswell, I was thinking about making some kind of cannon that shoots at you whilst you are trying to cross a bridge. If you have seen Takeshi's castle you will know what I mean ![]()

I haven't seen Takeshi castle. On the other hand, could this be done as a func_tank maybe?

I'm going to try with a func_tank - does anyone here have a clue how to use the thing?
EDIT: Hmm, it seems it need manning. Prehaps a combine npc protected by shields?

If you want your func_rot to aquire you as a target and then shoot you
should be able to do this with triggers you make triggerareas around
your turret so that when you trigger a field the turret rotates more or
less in your direction.
however I believe this won't get the job done properly.

Stranger - that is an ace idea. I might make it a grenade lobbing thing though, that will look / work better

I'll post the test level whenever I can.
Be warned that I might have to send it to Fileplanet. If they try and send it out as an actual map I'll come after them with a sledge hammer
