Okay. So We are making a mod. www.gamerzone.pri.ee/strikeback and noone
of us has any idea of how the hell to make the models!!! Modellers are
great in Maya, but how the heck we can get every made model to SMD in
first place, then how in the hell we create those QC files and finally
- how we make those dam textures for the models!
So... got the Maya flie exported to DXF, and then imported it to 3ds
max 6. I found a plugin for this and we made an "animated keyframe" or
whatever it gives the first choice, from this nice knife mdoel. He only
made one model, which just lies in air there. How are we s'posed to
create these animated ones?
And for the next step, i copied the v_crowbar.qc and renamed it to
knife.qc, and by trial and error I got it to this far that removed
everything i thought was unnecessary, like the texture... well - i
managed to get no errors in compilation, but then nothing happened when
I opened it in model viewer.
Sorry for any misunderstood words... i am kinda in hurry and english is far from my native lang...
anywayz - if you know any step-by-step guides(i was unable to find any
from net), or manage to explain it like that, you are welcome. Besides
- you are even welcome to the mod makers team.
So... if you please...
