Okay so before I was able to type in "buildcubemaps" in the console and
source would build the cubemaps extrely fast, so fast that it would
take less than 5 minutes to do so, now the rate at which it goes it
would take 3 hours! I have no clue what happened. Is anyone
experiencing this problem?
BTW these are my system specs if it applies:
AMD 3400+
Radeon X800 XT PE
! gig of RAM

What did you do differently? If it takes more than a few minutes to build the cubemaps, there has to be something wrong.
How many cubemaps do you estimate in your map anyways? Did you add something new when it started to take forever (an entity, a model, water)?

Did absolutely nothing to the map, it even takes long even on a smaller maps that I made recently (test maps).

Hmm, that must means there is something going on with your computer. Check for spyware and viruses (if you haven't done so already). Did you install any new program lately?

Hmmm no spyware, It might be that I updated the radeon drivers (but I doubt thats it)
