First off.. WOW.. HL2 new Tools.. and im glad to see the ol'Snark Pit still around!

Ok I am wanting to try and make a Theme map based off a LaserTag arena.. but am not sure how to do the light FX and music or how to do the new weapon strip and arm with weapons and armor. I want to keep it pistol only, and to help keep it fair, I want to have the same weapon on both sides. I also need to make sure each round the players get a new weapon and full ammo.

1: How to make Funky Light FX like laser lite show

2: How to add a good smoke effect

3: How to add a weapon strip and re-equip thingy

I think that about covers it. Its great to be back. Hope I posted this in the right place.. This is a CS:Source map.

1. env_beams with moving targets (info_targets attached to tracktrains), logic_timers to set them flashing, possibly math_counters...

2. A grey func_dustcloud?

3. Do a forum search - theres loads of stuff about this around. Failing that - search at google

Thanks.. I know the new tools can do so much more than the old ones.. I have seen these little cities outside of maps.. that they use for the skyline, and even a moving texture for clouds in the sky to move by.. was wondering if that scrolling texture outside the map like that is something that can be done to add a smoke effect in the map? I have also been in maps that have a smog like effect.. where you can only see around 10-15 feet ahead.. would your suggestion do that?

No. You'd need a env_fog_controller probably - dustclouds are for small areas - not whole maps!
