What texture/entity is used to make the fading light which can be used with things like windows.
Help appreciated.

Do you mean like in the coast levels? where if you approached the
window you could see through it, but when you backed away from it it
would be a bright light? Thats area portals I believe.

hmm what i thought he was talking about, and what i would like to know, is the effect in de_train where there are light rays coming from the windows and the ceiling in the inside bomb site.
