uncheck the loop flag. have a logic_timer set with a refire interval of x seconds where x is the length of your sound. your output should point to the name of your ambient_generic entity, via the OnTimer command. the action should be "Playsound"

You can set the ambient generic to be audible within a certain radius, or everywhere if you check the "play everywhere" flag under the flags tab of your ambient generic
