I download and installed the models and related texture files into their correct folders under the hl2 root directory (For Single Player) and I can`t get the textures to appear in game or in the editor...

I am sure all the files are in the correct place and yet the textures are not applied...P.S this also occours for the Arches I downloaded, but not for the Piano Model, which were both made by fishy.

Any Help would be greatly appriciatted...

the piano uses an existing hl2 texture, so it should always work.

the arches and gates, if i remember correctly, require all of their .vtf and .vmt files to be in your [root]/materials/models/fishy folder.

Thats exactly where I put them and yet all i get is the purple checkerboard texture, they are all the correct entites (prop_static) and I have even tried changing the skins on the rail models with no luck. I am at a lose and I really want to use them as they fit well with the theme I am trying to create for my HL2 Video (School Project)....

eek, i just looked at the zip, and there are no vmt files for the texture. all those downloads.........

i've zipped the missing files here, and i'll sort out the main model zip tomorrow.

thanks for bringing it to my attention, and sorry for the noobism...

Everthing seems to be in order now, with the missing files being installed under the materialsmodelsfishy directory. The fully textured model now appears...but it's still missing skin 0.

Thanks for the quick reply...and solution
