The 3D Skybox and Water

I have water in the skybox that acts as a continuation of water in the world. Underneath the water in the world, I have sand as a displacement. However, when the sand reaches the skybox, it immediately cuts off (which looks incredibly stupid. If you can under water however, you can see the sand continue on.

I'm guessing that water isn't rendered the same way in a 3D skybox as it is in the normal world. Is there anyway to change this?

In case this is relevent, the compile has been run on fast for both VIS and RAD. I also haven't built the cubemaps for it, but I doubt that'd affect the skybox anyway.

Thanks for any help!

Do you have your heart set on that water? You could change it to a murkier water to make it harder to see through, or you could just go for one of the reflective ones.

Hey Ant.

I've tried to do this with ctf_wizard. Unfortunatly, I could never get both waters to match up, and the 3d skybox water did strange things.

I ended up making one large water brush, and cutting a simplified coastline out of it. Dirty, but it did the trick.

Hope it goes well.

Damnit. A big water brush is gonna make the compile explode. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/sad.gif">
