Seeing as you have 3 basic "newby" questions about mapping (3 different
threads) I'm just going to have to say that you need to start small
with box rooms and experimenting with all the different entities. "One
must learn to crawl before they can walk." And we can't solve every
little senario you want us to do.
For instance this party map:
Why dont you try experimenting with lasers and env beams and rotating lights! If you come across a problem, like a light isn't suppost to be doing something you think it should, then we have a problem that you should use this forum for. This forum isn't meant for us to tell you how to make your ideas come to life, its to help you make your ideas come to life "We help those who help themselves"
Im sorry if this sounds condencending, but there just is no way we can help you with every little minor problem you come to us with.

start experimenting with point_spotlight, that's all you need for rotating lights.
(be sure to check the "no dynamic light" flag)

Also change the texture of the dock. Docks are rarely tile. -Facepunch
