I have an area, 4 walls, a roof and a ceiling. Now im trying to add another wall inside, but its too high. I would of assumed I would just go to Transform and Click Scale, and from there I tried -5 and 5 for X, Y, and Z, and they all do the same thing they scale REALLY far in that direction, except for Z, it allways gets way bigger no matter what number I put. Am I doing something wrong?

Im assuming your using the ctr-z transformation tool? you dont need to do that in hammer, you can click the edges of a brush (a solid) and resize it that way, there are 8 handles around each brush, try grabbing some of them to see what happens.

Did you mean Control M? Yeah if so. I also tried dragging all 8 corners and it moved it everyway BUT resizing its height =(ad><body topmargin=2 leftmargin=2>

Yeah...control M. In 3 demensions every sild has 8 corner handles and 8 "center" handles. You need to find the solid in your side/front windows, click drag the "center" handles till you reach a height you want.

Here is a article on the SDK wiki on how to do this:

Edit:

Theres also:

Also if your new to hammer, you may want to try "Your first map":
