hay, im new at this whole thing and i have no idea what i am doing so i was wondering if any one could help me. i used GCF scape and VTF Explorer to get a .tgatof the skins of my players. now all i think i need to do is get them back to a .VTF to put them back to were i got them and have the skins of my players change, but im not sure. when i try converting the .tga to a .vtf using the vtf.exe i found in the bin it says "Can't load C:Program FilesValveSteamSteamApps(username)sourcesdkbinfilesystem_steam.dll. Can't load C:Program FilesValveSteamSteamApps(username)sourcesdkbinfilesystem_steam.dll.
Hit a key to continue"
so all i want to know is how to get my tga's to vtf's or if i even have to or not.
or if i am totaly doing this rong, could i send the tga's and you could send them back as vtf's or give me other things i could do

Make sure Steam and the SDK run in background. Restart everything. This seems to be a Steam system error, nothing specifically about the tga or vtfs.

HL2 and all source games need VTFs for textures.
