hey y'all, i was wondering if anybody knew an 'easy' way to add sounds to keypresses?

in other words what i want to happen is: ingame a player presses any number key from 1-10 for instance and a different sound would play for each key.

any thoughts?

go easy on me i'm a hammer newb.

- thanks in advance!

Why is it that hammer noobs always try to hack their maps in the most complicated ways? <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/heee.gif">

1.) if you want to assign sounds to the player's (real-world) keyboard keys, I'm sorry, that's not possible without coding your own mod.
2.) if you want to have ingame-keys (func_buttons for a number lock a la Doom3) that'll be super-complicate, too, and would make it necessary for you to explain in detail what it is you want to do before we could help.

Good luck with your mapping <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_wink.gif">

Nope, you'd have to set this up in a custom mod. :/

One tip: Keep it simple.

Maybe, if you tell us what you need those sounds for in game, maybe we could come up with a simpler solution? To be honest, it sounds kinda gimmicky and not worth the trouble.
