Hey, howdy. After reading this, and severaL other forums I figured out how to make a simple bounce pad (although there are no tutorials that I could find), and subsequently put 4 of them in my map. A Trigger_push(twice the player height apprx) over a 6 unit high pad with beveled edges. I included a trigger multiple and an ambient_generic for a simple sound and set the trigger_push to -90 0 0 (up) and set the speed to 1600. I am getting ths message which I have seen many times before on other maps:
DataTable warning: player: Out-of-range value (1600.000000) in SendPropFloat 'm_vecBaseVelocity', clamping.
This message pops up frequently while I am in the map alone, and I am wondering once I get many players in the map if it could be problematic, (such as crashing the map). Is it as simple as reducing the speed on the trigger_push?, and if I do will the pads be less effective in-game?. Any thoughts or knowledge on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
