I believe you should keep .wav files for HL smaller than 3 minutes or else problems can arise.

Nice tut there, theres a surprisingly large number of people who dont know about this.

I'm not sure if the resampling step is neccessary. I've never had to do that. (thats what you lose 1 point on btw)

Well Wilson i didn't think it was necessary either because I too used to simply convert sounds without touching the playback rate but I'm not sure if maybe i was just getting lucky and the playback rates were already correct or what but as a safety measure I included the procedure as it may troubleshoot some errors...I'm not sure...at any rate, "officially" the playback rate still stands at 11025Hz.
