Thanks for the comment Reno. Although when I do pick up the project again those pics will probably not even be part of the final gameplay but they will give you an idea of the enviroment for the SP.

Should put trims of some sort between the walls and ceilings, as you have done on the floor. Looks kinda sloppy in the second shot in particular, where the small tiles on the ceiling aren't aligned and just disappear into the wall, so a trim would help. Might wanna break up the walls in that shot more also, like you have done on the left (though I don't recommend using the same indent design again, its nice having just a few of them). Strangely enough though, it is my preferred shot, despite the questionable use of that floor texture on the walls

Thanks for all the comments. In the second pic there are actually 4 of those lights in the hallway and some more behind you. If you look at the corner closest to you you can see the cut in the wall where the other two lights are.

Aye, the original HL textures are fscking brilliant. The first screenshot reminds me of Tonic, nicely done. The 2nd needs more effect in the realm of lighting, there's those two lights that basically light the whole room and it's odd. Maybe add some small red lights to the undersides of the vents?

Thanks. I purposely used all the old HL textures to prove to people that they can still be used in interesting ways. I had to do different things to keep everything looking good. Including using floor textures for the ceiling.

Interesting concept in the second pic. Who would have thought of using the floor texture on a wall

This is a SP mod I started a many months back but took a break from to work on two other maps. I decided since HL2 is only a few weeks away I'll transfer all my work over to the new editor. The pictures look a little ugly and noobish but that's because they are very early level designs. So don't be bitchen. J/K give me any opinions you want. I'll probably pick the project back up a couple months after HL2 has been out. Once I do start on it again I'll make it look much more proffesional.
Ok I thought it might be a good idea to let you know what the SP mod is about. I can't forget about that now can I.
You work as an inspector for the governement that makes sure all the U.S.'s little secrets are going as they should be. While in the middle of an investigation at a control facility that is located 50 miles from Black Mesa something weird happens. You get seperated from everyone else and you find yourself being attacked by the military. You must find out what is going on and get outa there. You will discover a few secrets about Black Mesa and the projects that are conducted there. This all occurs 4 hours before the actual Black Mesa incident.
