Map Description

This map has a discussion topic which can be visited here

This is my first hl2dm which I think is good enough to release.
It's a sort of rural / farm based map.

The download is for the first beta version.
Screenshots are of the 2nd beta which is currently in progress.

Also:

Errors I've fixed are:

- Lines in the skybox.
- Missing texture under the cars.
- Grass sprites in the skybox
- Wheelbarrow shader
- Ceiling of the house.
- The huge shadow by the farmhouse.
- Couple of smaller errors

Improvements:

- Covered up all the visible displacement map seams.
- Tripled the amount of terrain in the 3d skybox.
- Changed some of the props and amount of them in the kitchen
- Added ceiling supports and reduced the room size in the farmhouse.
- Added slightly more detail to the farmhouse.
- Some more trees.
- Working gas canisters.

Any feedback or suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks

*puts on sunglasses* the first pic is a little bright don't you think? In the second pic where the fence goes over the dent in the ground, the fence should bend down into it.

I like the fence in screen2. I like the "dip" under it -- but the only thing that looks wrong about it, is how the fence seems physically uneffected by the dip

It should probably sink just a little -- or put something under neath it to suport that fence!

Overall, it looks very good

Meh, it's still a reduction by half

Check back in a minute or two.. gonna have a look around the map.

tis why i put the smiley.. it was an effort.

the XAT link really needs to be put back in the place of the other program that replaced it.

it was there originally, and still proves to be the better of the two for this one task.

Resize your pics... they are stupidly large

Please in future post smaller screenshots of around 50-80kb each. JPEG Optimisation tools are available (and linked at the new topic page!) and easy to use.

200kb+ screenshots aren't too great for our 56k members

Just a heads up from your local friendly moderator
