Despite WHATEVER YOU MAY HAVE HEARD, this is the FIRST
Original Capture The Flag map for HL2DM. This map is a mix of
Bombing Run from UT2K4 and Capture the Flag. The objective is
to bring the enemies' colored ball back to your flag room by
shooting, passing, etc. Your score is shown at the bottom of
your screen. You could say it's a part of the HUD. Enjoy, and
spread the word!

We run this map in our servers rotation and it overall a great map. I would recommend it for anyone who likes to play on CTF maps.

There is a FINAL coming out soon. ATM the above version is what servers are playing, but a FINAL is coming out after we took a week of criticism from people playing the map. IT WILL BE OUT SOON!

his tutorial is very basic. i will be releasing a vmf of the exact scenario (along with the HUD scoreboard, end game scenario, team based spawning, and glows around the balls). everything related to the ctf gameplay in my map.

and sry... no changes can be made since this is final. i had lots of input from the various beta testers of the map, but i guess some stuff slipped by :/...

Kusa has made a HL2DM CTF map and has included an example .vmt using the CTF logic source in the zip file.

Looks very cool!

I only have a few comments. In your second shot, the cavern seems a bit too square. I'd suggest vaulting the ceiling a bit and rounding the corners. In the third shot, it seems to me that the light fixtures you have do not support the amount of red light in the room. I'd suggest more sources, and dimmer lights.

Any chance of doing a tutorial on how you created the CTF gameplay? That would be sweet!
