Map Description

This map has a discussion topic which can be visited here

Well excuse my english, its not the best one. ^^
So, it's one kind of duality map for hl2dm, inspired from a cult manga all done with my textures and models.
Concerning the gameplay, it's really not for many players, maybe 4 max
well, enjoy

Is this suppose to be a place from Ghost in the Shell? [addsig]

Looks very nice, reminds me of some of the maps in the Jedi Outcast dual mode where it was just 1 on 1 with a lightsabre. I would suggest having 2 or 3 corridors/rooms going off at the sides to make combat more varied.

Quite nice, but why do only two horizontal roof beams cast shadows and why is rain coming through the glass?

I think I recognize this as being the scene for the end of Ghost in the Shell, though I haven't actually seen it.

EDIT: Oh, I get it. DM_GhostInTheShell. But wouldn't it be like... Le Spectre dans la Coquille in French?

It would be a shame to have a one-room-only map when you've worked so hard on the custom stuff. Add more side rooms to the place, a cellar, perhaps, some outdoor areas... other than that that hall looks lovely. smiley

Gasp* Tries to breathe*

That is some excellent architecture!

I can't wait to see the rest! The moon is excellent as well!

From the screenshots, it looks nice...

but if it's just one room, then I'd highly encourage you to add more to it. Those maps are called killboxes and aren't very popular, especially not amongst mappers.

Even a few rooms that connect with each other, leaving about 3 connections per room, can be so much better. Just look at dm_steamlabs. It has a fairly simple layout, with 5 or 6 main area's, most of them connected with 3 others. It leaves the player multiple choices but also keeps them thrilled, as they never know where the enemy will come from. They have to stay alert. Some area's to set up traps in are also quite fun... smiley

It would be a shame to throw away these nice visuals because of a lack of interesting gameplay...
