How is what Myrk said your point?
So far I have never ever seen a remake of torn. Everyone knows Crinity and Madcross made it and I mentioned their names as the original creaters. Like I said before though the current version of the map I'm making for CSS is 100% mine down to every brush. I looked at over 100 reference pictures of torn I took and constantly ran through the map to make sure I had the layout looking like torns. Now that that is done, I'm adding in all the detail, textures, models, etc. I think though when I start releasing some screenshots you'll all be surprised how much of an improvement it was, both in terms of gameplay and visuals.

Moneyshot its not such a big deal because everyone knows the original map. Thats like praising the author of de_dust whenever anyone makes a version.

I wasn't suggesting you don't do it. By all means go ahead. Just make the credit to the original author a little more obvious on your site. I would be utterly flattered it someone remade one of my maps...but I'd damn sure want everyone to know that it was mine first

A fellow mapper over at Interlopers ported all the vehicles from desert storm to Half Life 2. So I'm going to have him scale down the mig jetfighter to be used in a 3D Skybox.

Well just give credit to the original mapper, but the Source map is indeed yours. heck you took the time to make it, update it and make it better.. so you deserve some credit for sure. So tell these other peeps to shut there pie holes and do what you do. =)

Yeah I'll make sure to do that. I'm not trying to rip off his map and say it's mine. I'm just remaking it for CSS. That's all.

Spartan. It would be nice, if you actually credited Crinity a
little more blatantly on your site. It's a small thing that goes a long
way. Good luck on the map, though - Its a beast of a project.

Yeah. Last time I checked his site the newest thing was dated 2001. I wonder what happened. Well so far to my knowledge know one has remade de_torn for CSS.
I ran across this by accident. Apparently Crinity (the creator of de_torn) had done some level design consulting for NS. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
