The standard tutorial for these kind of things. Pretty advanced, actually.

Here's another one, more technical (you don't have to fully understand it). But it's good to get a feeling for how your map gets split into different areas during compiles:

I'm sorry, i were little busy today so i didn't add screenshots yet.

And Oprheus, the map is not going to be that big, and its dryed river so there will be no water. By the way, do you know a good tutorial for using of hint, skip and areaportal?

Nah. I copied Valves work for HL1 and improved upon it IMHO. What I meant was, the particular theme you chose will be hard to make into a playable HL2DM map.

Your frame rates will suffer.

Yes, its pretty odd to do it this way, but screenshots are exepted(yes, i think its spelled wrong...) tomorrow.

Good luck with the map. Such an open one will be exciting, but difficult I imagine.

Yes, i think it will be bit hard to copy the valve's style and architecture.

Not to complain, well actually I am forestalling the complaints:

Its best to start a map in your profile. Then once it reaches a stage where you desire some feedback you can begin a thread.

Its not wrong to do it this way, just odd.

Keep us updated with at least some screens, even at far less than 25%. We might help prevent a reworked area. <img src=" SRC="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">
