Think I might convert this map to the newly-released NS_Combat - the small structure and many dark areas were accidentally designed for it.

Looks like a good adaptation. Not a good NS Map though. Can't see myself playing it, but I'm sure CS Fans will love it.

i have some bright areas, but they're really nothing to look at so I didn't add them to the screenshots. the marines are at the well-lit end of the building - to reach the hives, they must travel through darkness.

Those screens look good. Perhaps you could have made more variety (eg. bright areas)... but since it was based on another map i suppose that would have been difficult.

Looks ok from the screenshots, could use a lot more architecture and detail, but 3/5.

This is a a discussion topic for the map "ns_helterskelter" by SumhObo which can be found here
Map description:
This map is an NS adaptation of the CS map de_helterskelter by Namphibian (with Namphibian's permission, of course). Although it isn't strictly with the NS theme of spaceships and the like, it makes for decent gameplay (tested at LANs), although the siege turrets are a little too powerful. For NS, it is a small map, giving the Marines an automatic advantage. That is why, in the adaptation, I added more cover and generally darkened the map.
Namphibian and I should be working on a project called ns_vertigo over the summer (in Australia) hols. In the meantime, please posts comments. A .map file is included - feel free to edit, but please give both Namphibian and I credit.
EDIT: Ok i've just fixed the link, you'll download a text file, just change the extension to .zip and it'll work.
