from the screens I'd say its a pretty ugly school. ^.^ hope the teachers are better. schools are always hard to map, coz of the large amount of details they contain and the big open areas plus the thousands of windows. thats why I never tried to map my school.

ive just remembered that i would comment on this map after ive played, tbh, it shows ur noobyish side, but then again ,it does show the extreme amount of potential you have as a mapper, the architecture might not be great but the ideas are there, like with the bus, and from what ive seen of your new work, it seems like youve gotten a lot better, keep up the good work

Hehe, I always planned on making my school for CS sometime, my friends kept bugging me to do it. Problem with schools is that class rooms tend to be dead ends, so bothering to make them makes an unnecessarily complex map, while not putting them in makes for huge, uninterrupted corridors. At least thats what it would be like with my school I guess.

This school is very open (alot of australian schools are like that, I beleive). Every classroom has at least 2 exits (fire regulations).

I tried to do the same thing but didn't get beyond my common room + main hall. It's all a question of how much detail you want to go to.

This is a a discussion topic for the map "de_ths" by wil5on which can be found here

This is it. My greatest map project ever. My school, in CS. Huge map, lots of sniping. Not perfectly accurate to the actual school, but everyone says its pretty close. In keeping with the theme, however, sacrifices had to be made. r_speeds in this map are huge, wpoly peaks around 2000 (!!!) but for anyone who knows this school, its worth it.
The zip contains a Day of Defeat version aswell, with waypoints for both.
Note: As of 03 feb 2004, work on this map for HL1 is finished. I will release a HL2 version, once HL2 comes out and I can get mappin'.
