Game: Half-Life: Deathmatch

Map Description

This map has a discussion topic which can be visited here

Sector Gamma plays around the Chernobyl reactor. The outside features a lonely train station, the inside shows radioactive coolant-water and athmospheric corridors. As you can see, I'm creating the textures for this level myself... smiley

I was inspired for this level by screenshots from S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Oblivion Lost... obviously...

That's because those 'sheds' are meant to be trains, and I haven't added their wheels yet. Actually, I still need to make a texture for the wheels. I've redone the train texture now, though.

Eww --- maybe I'm not seeing this right, but I can quite EASILY see a gap between those sheds and the grass. If you're doing the "1 unit gap trick" then maybe instead you should put a small func_wall on the bottom of the shed to fill it in?

Never actually though of the idea of mutated trains...

But yes, tracks will follow. Progress is slow now due to exams, too bad...

Those aren't trains you moron. They're a rare breed of box-antelope indigenous to Chernobyl. They feed on grass and stones and are liable to explode if irritated, cornered or touched. [addsig]

I really like that area, but it looks a little too empty. I understand it's supposed to be abandoned but it looks as if it was never used aside from the dirty textures. Maybe add a couple of vents, a fancy computer or even some cryptic posters! [addsig]

The 'tile' texture is misaligned on the vertical supports in the upper section of the third screenshot. [addsig]
