My first HLDM map. This map is set on a scienctific research ship. The crew has suffered annihilation at the hands(...tentacles?...) of Xen aliens that broke out of the science lab, and you may encounter one or two critters roaming about. Hopefully, you can make better use of the weapons strewn about than the hapless scientists did.

Map description:

Realistically placed weapons maybe tougher to find...but that is what keeps this map fresh. The Egon is a secret to find, which is nice and this map is just plain all around cool with lots of replay value. Plenty of visuals, if not too much! Low filesize and very low r_speeds.

Make a forum thread, and I'll ---try--- to post some screenshots of areas that I think you need to work on. (I'm going to try and figure out how to posts screenshots in a post.... <br> <br>I don't think it came off very well as a DM map.. I think it would have been much much better as a single player map. Weapons were just to hard to find (placed to realisticly), and I strongly advise against puting dead_monsters in a DM map....

I think it could use a bit more spatial complexity; so far it's only a circular corridor with a couple of rooms;( maybe it needs a central space, double heighted or something?...) The textures are cool, and I really like the gauss in the hazardous compartment. But was it necessary to have all these dead scientists? It gives the map a creepy &quot;single player&quot; touch. Nevertheless, it's nice looking, and it shows a lot of potential! Keep up the good work!

man id hate to work there, lighting would send me mad :P Looks decent so far, could use better textures and maybe more detail but looks good. gameplay is what will make the map tho smiley
