websites

SnarkPit www.snarkpit.net The SnarkPit is my 'main' website- I've been running it since mid-2000. It is the reason I learnt PHP and what saved me from spending my whole life replaying Civilization over and over again. And not only have I learnt loads of useless stuff in the process, it's also good for the ego being in complete control over a small community of people (virtual or not, they're still real), and I've "met" some really interesting and wacky people through it. You probably got here through the SnarkPit anyway, so it doesn't really need a proper description.

ISIS isis.ospl.org ISIS is a student magazine- the oldest still published in the UK, in fact- and once every term it's up to me to rummage through a 30mb PDF and turn it into HTML goodness. It's a surprisingly good read, especially some of the interviews, and it would be a great idea if you went and visited the website. And clicked on some of the advertising links.

UPDATE: This website came runner-up in the 2004 NUS/Daily Mirror student media awards!

Cherwell www.cherwell.org Cherwell is perhaps the most popular student newspaper in Oxford, and I'm currently redesigning it. I have so far discovered that #CC3300 is one of my top-3 favourite HTML colour codes. Also feel free to click on lots of advertising links, especially if you're interested in body piercings.

Brasenose JCR www.bnc-jcr.co.uk Being a member of the esteemed Brasenose College of Oxford, I took it upon myself to build a JCR website for the unwashed masses. It's not my greatest work, but it does what is has to and I'm proud of the menu on the left.

Brasenose Ball www.bncball.com I am also involved in making a website for our 2005 ball. It's a Shakespeare ball, so here's a Shakespearian website. It's not based off anyone else's design, but strangely enough, it fits the theme better than all our fliers and other material!

Watchet Town Council www.watchettowncouncil.org My first "professional" (read: paid) website work. A basic site built around a tourist leaflet for a local town council. Nice town, worth a visit in the Summer or on the 5th November (you can see all of South Wales go up too...)

Stone Marketing www.stonemarketing.com These guys are nice and sell loads of great pens.

What's that you say? You want to give me lots of money to make you a website? How kind. Right now I'm very busy with Real Life™, but I'm sure I can fit you in if we're talking enough for me to retire to the Caribbean on.
