I take it that this is the predecessor to <!-- BBCode Start -->crosshair2<!-- BBCode End -->; whether it came before/after the author's others I can't tell. But, like with all his maps, they involve 3 things (which I stated in the <!-- BBCode Start -->crosshair2<!-- BBCode End --> review). This map is more like <!-- BBCode Start -->2tower<!-- BBCode End --> than <!-- BBCode Start -->crosshair2<!-- BBCode End --> though- it doesn't look any good, and is plagues by atrocious r_speeds.

All the bad things I've said in other reviews of his maps can be repeated here. This is supposedly intended to be a sniping-only map, hence the 3 or so sniper rifles placed, so why the addition of the gauss and RPG? Also, how the hell are you meant to snipe back when there's about 100 places for the enemy to hide? R_speeds kill any chance of this thing called "gameplay" happening that I've seen on other maps- e_polys are way over 10000, and that's when there's no-one else playing. W_polys oft reach well over 1000 too. Architecture is simple; rocks are just large cuboids and I never managed to figure out what most of the buildings are meant to represent. Weapons and ammo are just placed at random (see area with 10 or so SAW ammo buckets lying around, or place with loads of health kits). Finally, the sky hasn't been clipped, so you can just gauss outside the level never to return.

The only good thing- no wait, things!- I can say about this map are that ladders on this map are those climbing ropes as seen in the Boot Camp training mission for Opposing Force, which I haven't seen in any other map before, and that textures have actually been aligned! Oh joy, it looks so much tidier now.

For the third time, then- any monkey can make a bunch of ledges overlooking each other. Which is what has been done here. Not his worst map, but that ain't a good thing.

Design
Feels like... someone... drugged... foOood... gagh <dies>

Gameplay
How are you meant to snipe, when there's other people using the gauss/RPG, and hiding in one of a hundred dark hidey holes?

Verdict
Oh dear. Another crap map that tries to be the "l337est sn1p5t4 m4p 3vAr!" But isn't even close.

Pros
Textures are aligned!

Design
r_speeds & item placement
