Where can I find the base models for the characters like alyx, etc. I see them in the world models in hammer but i cant find a file path for them.

Alyx is in:

steam/steamapps/source models.gcf/hl2/models

and her textures are in:

steam/steamapps/source models.gcf/hl2/materials/Models/Alyx

To open the gcf files you need GCFScape.
